This may seem like a no-brainer but when it comes to traveling long distances, dress comfortably! Here's how and why.

Spring Travel Tip #7: Dress comfortably.

This may seem like a no-brainer but when it comes to traveling long distances, dress comfortably!

Sneakers keep your feet relaxed and enhance your control over your vehicle, allowing you to react quickly and properly to changes in traffic or road conditions. Avoid heels or flip-flops as these can get caught under or reduce your ability to properly accelerate, brake, or control your vehicle.

Compression socks, leggings, or pants help improve circulation and reduce swelling. This can help increase your comfort level and allow you to focus on the road rather than pain or muscle aches. (Periodic rest breaks are also beneficial for boosting energy and keeping your body awake.)

A hat, sunglasses, or sun visor will protect your eyes from sun glare and limit its impact on your vision while driving.

As the driver you are responsible for always being alert and in control of your vehicle. Don’t let something as simple as the wrong clothing distract or impair your ability to drive safely.
